Babajimi Benson, a current member of Nigeria's House of Assembly has advocated for the protection of Mohbad's music estate. While speaking at the House of Assembly, he urged everyone to observe a one-minute silence for the late Ilerioluwa Oladimeji.

He also stated that the ongoing investigation be monitored particularly the unpaid royalties of the late singer. He called for the invitation of the Nigeria Copyright Commission (NCC) to ensure that the proceeds from the sale of Mohbad's digital assets are transferred to the account of his 5-month-old baby.

Babajimi also stated that the House of Assembly should collaborate with the stakeholders in the music industry such as record label owners, and legal experts to develop a regulating guideline for everyone in the industry. That will ensure that no artists face any form of assault or maltreatment in pursuit of their careers.
