Bandits attack Kaduna community, kill one, abduct six others
Suspected bandits have attacked a community in Kaduna State recently. They had killed one person and abducted 6 others during the attack on Ungwan Maaji community.
The attack happened 2 days ago, on Friday night.
A resident in the area, whose name is Jonathan James, revealed that these bandits arrived around 10 minutes after 9pm.
They went into a house and abducted a woman who was a housewife and also took her house help.
They then moved to another house still on that street and kidnapped 4 others.
The bandits also attacked another house on the same street, kidnapping four more persons.
They also got 2 more people who had eventually managed to escape.
An Imam in that community who had also been kidnapped and was able to escape revealed that he had not even returned home after leading the Isha’i prayer, when these bandits had stormed the area.
He said he was abducted in front of the Mosque.
He says there were 8 of them that had be kidnapped and were led away. When they got to the stream towards the far end of the community, he and someone else we're able to escape.
He also added that these bandits were young boys of not more than 20 years old
