Bandits kidnap people in zamfara and demand new naira notes.
Problem strikes as bandits have once again abducted four people in Zamfara state recently. This happened in the Kolo village of Gusau Local Government Area.
The bandits have also refused to collect old naira notes as ransom, they demanded the new notes.
It is said that the local authorities in zamfara are yet to react to this issue.
Report states that the original ransom demanded by the bandits was 10 million naira but after negotiations, have accepted to collect 5 million naira.
The bandits in addition to this sent a message saying they would not release the victims until the new naira notes have been released by CBN. They said until the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) releases the new notes, they would keep the kidnapped people in their camp.
This message came while the community people were trying to gather the money needed to pay the ransom for their people who were kidnapped.
