After struggling in Diego Someone's Atletico Madrid setup, Joao Felix went on a loan spell to Chelsea in the Premier League League.

It was not an overly cutting edge outing for the Portuguese at Stamford Bridge but it was a promising campaign.

However, Chelsea weren't interested in a permanent move. After his loan spell, the Portuguese star returned to Atletico Madrid.

On his return, it was still not looking good as Diego Simeone didn't rate the attacker hence another loan solution was preferred and this time, Felix arrived at Barcelona, a rival club, on deadline day.

Before his move, he earned the criticisms of Atletico Madrid fans for chosing to pit tent with the domestic rivals and publicly professing his desire to play for the Catalan club.

Unlike his loan spell at Chelsea, it can now be established Joao Felix is meant for Barcelona. He has quickly yelled into Xavi Hernandez's setup, cementing his place in the squad, and pulling off a top-level performance for the La Liga giants.

Long before Barcelona were considering making Felix's deal permanent, Barcelona fans were already graving for the Portuguese to be allowed to stay put with Barcelona with a fresh contract when the loan deal expires.

Same has been said of his Portugal teammate and Manchester City loanee Joao Cancelo, who also arrived on deadline day.

Joao Cancelo endured a torrid stint at Manchester City of late before being loaned to Bayern Munich. After a season with the Bundesliga giants, he returned to City but was still down the club's pecking order hence another loan move to Barcelona.

Interestingly, Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo have turned their loan deals to Barcelona into a huge a success. They have scored and assisted in both La Liga and Champions League for the club. Joao Cancelo has two goals and one assist in Champions League for Barcelona with two La Liga goals and an assist.

Joao Felix have 3 UCL goals with one assist and one La Liga goal with one assist as well.

The two players have made 5 Champions League and 11 La Liga appearances for Barcelona and are key to Xavi Hernandez's squad.
