Speaking during a media tour of the company’s Agbara plant, CEO Alexander Gendis outlined the company’s aggressive expansion strategy:
Boosting exports to new Francophone African markets
Increasing sales volume, which already grew from 6% to 8% of total turnover
Strengthening ECOWAS presence before venturing into other African regions
“Nigeria is our first priority, followed by ECOWAS, then the entire African continent,” Gendis emphasized.
Huge Investments & Sustainability Focus
Beta Glass has invested ₦15.3 billion in the past five years to expand output.
Installed a €13 million furnace in 2021, increasing daily glass production to 720 tonnes.
Produces 650 million glass containers annually and 5.5 million crates per year.
Embracing local sourcing to cut foreign exchange losses, especially for raw materials like soda ash, sodium sulfate, and feldspar.
