He was speaking publicly recently when he revealed that he got to know about Burna Boy and Rema through his daughter recently.
He says that when he was coming to Nigeria, Phoebe had told him he was lucky as he was going to meet Burna Boy and Rema. He says he had to look them up because he didn't know them.
This Means that prior to this conversation with his daughter, he didn't know Burna Boy and Rema who are popular afrobeat musicians in Nigeria.
He remembers that he has watched Davido and Wizkid perform previously when he came to Nigeria.
He revealed this while he was addressing a gathering of Civil Society organizations and the media.
This has however caused a stir on social media as some Nigerians have taken this statement to mean that what Davido said about Burna Boy being a new cat was through.
