Bobrisky likely to spend Eid-l-Fitir in the EFCC custody
Nigerian transgender woman Bobrisky is likely to spend the Eid-l-Fitir holiday in EFCC custody since his bail hasn't been granted. He was arrested at his Lagos apartment on the 3rd of April and had been charged to court where he pleaded guilty to the charges of naira abuse levied against him by the EFCC.
While at court, Bobrisky pleaded that the judge pardoned him as he wasn't aware of the Nigerian law binding on the use of the Naira note. He also promised to use his platform to campaign against the mutilation of naira by ignorant masses. The judge assigned to his case, Justice Abimbola Awogboro, then adjourned the next court hearing to the 9th of April which falls on a public holiday. So, there are high chance that the court hearing won't take place tomorrow since the FG has declared both the 9th and 10th of April as Eid-l-Fitir holidays.
