Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund have completed the signing of Jadon Sancho from Manchester United.
Borussia Dortmund club's statement confirming the signing of Jadon Sancho reads;
"Borussia Dortmund have signed attacking player Jadon Sancho, 23, on loan until the end of the season. The Englishman, who is currently under contract at Manchester United, this Thursday signed a loan deal until 30 June 2024."
Bundesligag on returning to the Bundesliga giants, Sancho said he felt at home as he walked through the changing room and he can't wait to play football again with a smile on his face.
"When I walked into the changing room today, it felt like 'coming home'. I know the club inside out, I've always been very close to the fans here and I've never lost contact with the people in charge. I can't wait to see my teammates again, get out on the pitch, play football with a smile on my face, get assists, score goals, and help the club qualify for the Champions League," said Jadon Sancho.
Jadon Sancho's move to Borussia Dortmund brings to an end a difficult chapter of his career at Manchester United following his fallout with Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag.
The English winger was demoted from Manchester United's first team after he clashed with Erik ten Hag for dropping him in Manchester United's Premier League clash against Arsenal in September 2023.
Sancho ran out of all means to find his way back to Manchester United's first team after he refused to apologize to the Dutch in a showdown talks at Carrington.
His Manchester United career was summarily over as Erik ten Hag refused to offer the winger a lifeline to return to the squad until he apologized.
With his career at Old Trafford stalled, Sancho was linked to an exit from Manchester United with Juventus and his former club Borussia Dortmund lining up a move for the player.
The embattled winger favored a return to Signal Iduna Park in Germany where he honed his career to enviable heights before being spotlighted and signed by Manchester United.
He will be hoping to breathe life back into his career as he seals a return to the club. Jadon Sancho is joining the Bundesliga outfit on a short-term loan until June 2024 with no buy option.
However, Dortmund are likely to make the loan move permanent should he impress on his loan shift.
