Bosun Tijani emerges as minister of communications, innovations and digital economy.

Nigerian entrepreneur, Bosun Tijani has been declared as the new minister of communications, innovations and digital economy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Olatunbosun Tijani is his full name and he is a Nigerian-British tech entrepreneur and politician. He is the co-founder and CEO of Co-Creation Hub (ccHub). The new minister is 46 years old.

The young minister graduated with a degree in economics from the University of Jos. He also holds a masters degree in information system and management from Warwick Business school.

He was unveiled as one of the new ministers just yesterday, Wednesday, August 16, 2023 by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale. This list of the ministers and portfolios was revealed to newsmen yesterday.

He emerged as the new minister of communications, innovations and digital economy after a rigorous screening which was held not too long ago.
His tasks in this new role will include leading impactful policies to support the Nigerian tech ecosystem.


Early Life and education
Bosun Tijani was born in Agege, Lagos State. He lived there for some time before moving to Abeokuta in Ogun state where he attended secondary school and then proceeded to the University of Jos, Plateau state. He graduated with 2 bachelor's degrees in 2002 from Jos.

He has a BSc in Economics and a diploma in computer science. He then proceeded to the Warwick Business school in England in the year 2007. He was also named as one of the 100 most influential people in Africa by the New Africa magazine in the year 2017.

Earlier this year in March, he completed his PhD in innovation and Economic development from the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom.
