Bournemouth completed one of the English Premier League's greatest-ever comebacks against Luton Town on Wednesday, March 13.

While football lovers were giving their full attention to the UEFA Champions League, the Premier League, on the other hand, witnessed one of the biggest comeback wins in the league's history in more than 20 years.

It was Bournemouth and Luton Town who pulled out one of the most mouth-watering Premier League games of the season.

What happened?

Luton dominated the first half, showcasing their attacking prowess with Tahith Chong, Chiedozie Ogbene, and Ross Barkley finding the net to motivate the visitors to a strong lead at halftime.

However, the halftime break appeared to breathe fresh life into Bournemouth, who arose in the second half with renewed strength and determination.

Dominic Solanke started the comeback with a stunning goal, setting the stage for an incredible turnaround.

As the time changed direction in favor of Bournemouth, Illia Zabarnyi's wrapped finish further fueled their revival, bringing them within striking distance of Luton.

The stage was set for the home team, and Antoine Semenyo delivered in style with a blistering brace, completing Bournemouth's tremendous comeback.

It was the first time that a side had come back from three goals down to win in the Premier League since 2003 and only the fifth time in the league's history.

Premier League teams that won from three goals down

Bournemouth became the fifth team in Premier League history to win a game having trailed by three goals.

Below are teams that have previously pulled out a dramatic comeback

Leeds United 4-3 Derby County – November 7, 1997.

Dean Sturridge’s early brace and an Aljosa Asanovic penalty gave Derby a 3-0 lead after 33 minutes at Elland Road.

But Rod Wallace and Harry Kewell scored before half-time for the home team to set up an interesting second half.

Derby held on until the 82nd minute, when Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink scored from the spot, and the Dutch striker then set up his fellow substitute Lee Bowyer for a last-minute winner.

West Ham United 3-4 Wimbledon – September 8, 1998.

John Hartson’s seventh-minute opener was followed by Ian Wright's two goals in 13 minutes as West Ham raced into a 3-0 lead at home.

Marcus Gayle’s header on the half-hour mark pulled one back before half-time for Wimbledon.

The visitors produced an impressive second-half display, with goals from Jason Euell, Gayle, and Efan Ekoku securing a dramatic victory.

Tottenham 3-5 Man United – September 29, 2001.

Tottenham were in dreamland when Dean Richards, Les Ferdinand, and Christian Ziege all scored before half-time at White Hart Lane.

But Manchester United reacted in the first minute of the second half through Andy Cole before Laurent Blanc’s header and Ruud van Nistelrooy’s finish made it 3-3.

Juan Sebastian Veron fired United in front with 16 minutes left before David Beckham's volley sealed the visitor's victory.

Wolves 4-3 Leicester City – October 25, 2003.

Leicester City were leading 3-0 in the first half through Ferdinand and Riccardo Scimeca's effort after 35 minutes at Molineux.

The home team started the recovery in the 52nd minute when Alex Rae leveled and Henri Camara registered a late winner.

Wolverhampton Wanderers mounted a four-goal fightback in the second half to take all three points.
