Right before the World Cup qualifier match between Argentina vs Brazil, violent attacks ensued from the Brazilian Police towards some Argentinian fans at Maracana Stadium on Tuesday, November 21st. Reports show that some Brazilian and Argentinan fans were fighting behind one of the goalposts during the recitation of the national anthems, and that made the Brazilian Police rush to the scene.
Upon arriving at the scene, the Brazilian Police immediately launched nightsticks at the Argentinian fans which they retaliated by throwing chairs at the Police officers. Since they couldn't peacefully handle the chaos, the Brazilian Police continued to beat the Argentinian fans with those sticks and ended up injuring a few people.
