Unknown armed men suspected to be kidnappers have kidnapped two little girls in Akure, the capital of the Ondo state.
It happened that the two girls who are in nurseries and kindergarten classes respectively were kidnapped from their mother's car at Leo area, Acure.
This online information platform has learned that the incident occurred when the mother of the girls
was driving into their compound with her colored Toyota Camry car when the incident took place.
Nonetheless, the kidnapping was confirmed by Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Funmi Odunlami, on Saturday who spoke with newsmen.
The police spokesman said that the mother of the children reported to the police station shortly after the occurrence of the incident.
Odunlami added that the anti-kidnapping section was already handling the incident, saying she was not sure if the kidnappers had contacted the family.
In another news coming from the state; Nigeria's Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, the Ondo State Command, have apprehended a 44-year-old male for allegedly defrauding many desperate job seekers in the state.
The suspect, Ayodele Ige, described as a well-known job scammer, has been on the wanted list for some time after a string of complaints from his victims have reached the authority.
Ige a resident of the Okuta Elefinla estate in Akure, the state's capital, had collected N1.9m out of 19 of his victims prior to his arrest by the Terrorist Unit of Command.
According to the suspect, who confessed to the crime when he was deployed to NSCDC State Headquarters, Alagaka, Akure, with a network of connections to receive his victims as well as a means that comes with a senior government official.
He also maintained that he was able to collect the sum of N1.9m from the victims between November 2019 and 2020 in exchange for a job offer that never came.
