Buhari tenders apologies over some decisions his administration took

President Muhammadu Buhari in a farewell speech which he gave yesterday tendered apologies to Nigerians over some decisions he took during his time in office which brought hardships to the people.

President Buhari is set to hand over the baton to the president-elect Bola Tinubu today as the president of Nigeria.

He had served as president of Nigeria for 8 years (2015 to 2023.)

He gave a farewell speech yesterday and in the speech apologised for some sufferings which Nigerians had gone through under his administration.

He said he regretted that they were unable to rescue some people who are I captivity and he sympathized with their families.

He said security agencies are still working to ensure such people are found and brought back safely.

He revealed that they had made some difficult choices and some had yielded good results while some led to the suffering of the people.

He revealed that such decisions were for the good of the country but didn't pan out well.

He said during his administration, they were able to reduce the cases of terrorism, banditry, armed robbery and others.

He then gave himself a pass saying he is confident that he is leaving Nigeria in 2023 better than he had met it in 2015.

He then expressed hope that the new administration will lead Nigeria to the path of greatness
