Burnaboy rejected $1 million performance fee in Delta State, Comedian Mr. Jollof reveals
Comedian Mr. Jollof told the story of how he and his team were rejected when they wanted to book Burnaboy for a concert in Delta State. He said their budget was $1.3 million but Burnaboy's team said the money was too small as the Afrobeats singer wouldn't perform for that amount. Converting the $1.3 million to Naira gives an approximate value of 1.3 billion naira, and Mr. Jollof finds it amusing that Burnaboy's booking fee had surpassed that amount.
He had to share his encounter with the world, as he compared Burnaboy to the likes of Davido and Wizkid. He said that Burnaboy is no longer in the same league as Davido and Wizkid, because he has been exported to global music. Anyone who wishes to call upon Burnaboy for a concert should be ready to pay the international standard booking fee otherwise, their proposed amount will be rejected. Listen to all that he said below:
