Vinicius Jr was in his element during Real Madrid's smashing victory over Girona on Saturday, February 10, 2024.

The Brazilian got Los Blancos' opener in the 6th minute, with a cracking goal after dribbling past two Girona players before locating the far side of the net.

Jude Bellingham netted a brace for Real Madrid in the encounter, scoring in the 35th and 54th minute, with Vinicius Jr setting up his first goal of the game with a magnificent curling cross.

Rodrygo got the final goal of the evening for Real Madrid, and Vinicius Jr was also the architect of the goal.

Carlo Ancelotti's side could have gone further ahead in the 1st minute of stoppage time, however, Joselu missed a glorious chance to get his name on the score sheet through a penalty.

Reports have emanated in recent weeks of Los Blancos already signing an agreement with Mbappe, whose contract with Paris Saint Germain expires at the end of the 2023/24 season.

Subsequent reports have also emerged of PSG offering a mammoth deal to the Frenchman in order to lure him to remain at the club.

Moreover, despite the statement of Carlo Ancelotti, Rodrygo, who netted the final goal in the trouncing of Girona expressed that the possible signing of Kylian Mbappe will be helpful to Real Madrid.

He said: “If Kylian Mbappé comes, he will help us. He is one of the best in the world.

“I want to play with the best players of course but I can’t say more on this topic”.
