It was a thrilling night at the Allianz Arena, as the Bavarians lost to Paris Saint Germain on home soil. Thanks to goals from Kylian Mbappe and captain, Marquinhos.
PSG scored two counter attacks, spear headed by Neymar and Kylian Mbappe. Mbappe scored twice to hand Hansi Flick his first Champions League defeat as a coach of FC Bayern Munich.
The match was a repeat of the Champions League final played eight months ago. In the space of 30 minutes, PSG were two goals up from goals from Mbappe and Marquinhos, assisted by Neymar. Marquinhos was immediately subbed off after the goal, with an injury scare.
Bayern tried to fight their way back from two goals down, but Mbappe ensured PSG left the Allianz Arena with a victory, having a one goal advantage into the second leg at Parc Des Princes.
The German side without talisman striker, Robert Lewandowski, who has scored 45 goals this season due to injury, controlled the larger part of the game, but were able to score two goals, from Choupo-Moting and Thomas Muller, from twenty-nine shots
FC Porto 0 Chelsea 2
At Seville, Mason Mount scored his first Champions League goal in style, as Chelsea see victory against Portuguese side, FC Porto. It was another stellar performance by Mason Mount, who many think at the appointment of German manager, Thomas Tuchel, will see little game time, but has become a regular starter for the London side.
Though, Chelsea's midfield looked shaky, with the pair of Jorginho and Kovacic outran by Porto duo, Grujic and Otavio. But Chelsea's defence looked solid, with the introduction of the Christiansen and Rudiger pairing.
The blues took the lead in the 32nd minutes, when Jorginho laid the ball for Mason Mount, who made a quick turn to play a shot to the far right bottom corner of the goalkeeper. Porto looked threatening in attack, but was foiled by the Christainsen and Rudiger's duo.
Chelsea were lucky enough not to have conceded a penalty, late in the second half, when captain, Azpilicueta slightly pushed Marega in the 18-yard box. Ben Chilwell then capitalized on a mistake by Porto's Corona to give Chelsea two goals lead, by rounding up the goalkeeper.
Chelsea bounced back from a 5-2 shocking defeat to 19th placed side, West Brom over the weekend.
