The Blues are yet to make it official but sources close to the club have revealed a decision has been taken already to have the Brazilian youngster back from City Ground.

The decision to recall Santos from the loan deal has been linked to his dwindling fortunes at the club since joining on the club on loan.

Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper does not rate Andrey Santos, sparingly using the player on matches.

Since the switch, Santos has made just two appearances for Nottingham Forest. His first appearance for the club was in EFL Cup and he is yet to make his Premier League start for the club.

To further deepen the crisis, Steve Cooper has not included Andrey Santos in Nottingham Forest matchdays squad.

With his dwindling fortunes at the club, Chelsea are reportedly worried of Andrey Santos' chances. Sources close to the club reveal the Blues are set to take drastic steps to call off the loan move as they search for an alternative for the 19-year-old.

Presumably, Andrey Santos may not be ready to fight for his place in Nottingham Forest squad. Steve Cooper is reportedly unfazed by the youngster's inability to adjust to his new home.

According to reports, Andrey Santos has not impressed Cooper in training and his misfortunes at the club may not change soon.

In Nottingham Forest's last 11 Premier League games, Andrey Santos has not made the bench hence the concern by his parent club to do something drastic to save his career.

As things stand, Chelsea may likely call off the loan deal in January but it is certain he will be loaned to another club due to the competition for places in the Blues' squad.

Santos joined Chelsea from Vasco da Gama in a deal worth £13m. He was regarded as a top and promising football talent but is now having his career in tatters at City Ground.

There is now a lifeline for the youngster as Chelsea are ready to trigger the break clause on the loan in January deal to have him back.
