Chelsea have completed the signing Brazil U20 youth player Angelo Gabriel from Santos for €15m
Fabrizio Romano reported that Chelsea and Santos have signed all necessary documents for the player with Chelsea ready to include him in the club’s preseason tour in USA.
However, it has been confirmed Angelo Gabriel will not make Chelsea’s first team next season. After preseason, the club have decided to loan him out to sharpen his experience before being considered for first team action.
Santos have reportedly pocketed €15m transfer fee for Angelo Gabriel after the two clubs agreed terms for the player.
Meanwhile, Angelo Gabriel’s loan destination is yet to be confirmed but there are projections the club may likely leave him with his parent club, Santos, for a season.
With all documents signed, Gabriel is reportedly ready for his Chelsea medical with sources close to the club confirming the medical will be done tomorrow before the team leaves for USA preseason tour.
Angelo Gabriel is Chelsea’s third striker recruit this summer after Christopher Nkunku arrived from Leipzig, including former Villarreal and Senegal striker Nicolas Jackson.
Chelsea are also eyeing a move for Ecuadorian midfield sensation Moises Caicedo as the club attempts to offset the the massive exodus of many first team players this summer.
Tottenham and England record goal-scorer Harry Kane is also on the Blues’ radar with new Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino reportedly pushing for a reunion with the player, whom he worked with while at the white side of London.

Angelo Gabriel’s Chelsea contract is yet to be revealed but sources close to the club have revealed the Brazil youngster has been offered a long-term contract and placed on a better wage scale. However, he will spent the first few months of his contract on loan before integration into the main team.
