Many Premier League teams have failed to capitalize on numerous opportunities so far this season.

The success of a team in the league can often hinge on the strategies of their managers and the skill of their players when it comes to scoring goals.

Pochettino's presence at Chelsea has resulted in the team achieving a higher level of success, as demonstrated by their recent Carabao Cup victory against Newcastle.

The Blues top the list of big chances missed in the Premier League this season despite losing a quite number of players to injury. Don't you think it would have taken another turn if many of these crucial players were on the pitch?

In this content, we'll be taking a look at seven Premier League teams who have not been converting their chances so far this season.

We will be ranking each club based on their chance conversion rate from the most chances created to the least converted chances.

Below are clubs with big chances missed in the premier league this season:

CHELSEA

Chelsea created a lot of chances thanks to their manager Mauricio Pochettino's brave tactical set-up.

Chelsea tops the list with 35 big chances missed in the Premier League this season despite losing a quite number of players to injury.

Mauricio Pochettino will be without several players due to injury for their upcoming Premier League match against Wolves this Sunday, December 24.

Enzo Fernandez has joined the list after falling ill during the Blues recent game against Newcastle, lasting only 30 minutes on the pitch.

Captain Reece James is still undecided on the best treatment for his hamstring injury, as the club is giving him time to settle before considering surgery.

Meanwhile, Romeo Lavia, Wesley Fofana, Ben Chilwell, and Trevoh Chalobah are also still out and working with the medical team, and will not be available for the trip to the Molineux Stadium.

Pochettino deserves praise for his mastery and bravery in successfully managing a club with many key players on the injury list.

However, with players soon returning from injuries, it is believed that Chelsea will convert many of their big chances into goals.

This is evident from French forward Christopher Nkunku who made his long-awaited debut for the club, as he confidently scored his penalty to help Chelsea to a 4-2 victory and seal progression to the semi-final of the Carabao Cup.

So, with Nkunku now back to full fitness, and many expected to return soon, Chelsea are likely to come up with pleasant surprises in all competitions this season.

LIVERPOOL

Liverpool follow Chelsea in the big chances missed in the Premier League with 33 chances converted. The Reds would have occupied the first place in the league table if these chances had been successfully converted.

Chasing Arsenal in the league table, Liverpool's stunning form keeps soaring as they thrashed West Ham United 5-1 in the Carabao Cup quarter-final tie at Anfield on Wednesday night.

The Reds will hope to do their assignment well and convert great chances into goals in Saturday’s clash with Arsenal in the Premier League.

BRENTFORD

One of the teams on this list who missed great chances they could have converted is Brentford.

The Bees' missing 32 chances isn't too bad, but the number of goals they've conceded at the other end is very bad.

Having occupied the 12th place in the Premier League table, it's high time they started converting these great chances into goals.

NEWCASTLE UNITED

A lot of chances were missed (32), but Eddie Howe's side has been quite impressive this season leaving big guns like Manchester United and Chelsea behind in the Premier League table.

ASTON VILLA

Aston Villa created a lot of great chances of 31 thanks to their proficient manager Unai Emery's brave tactical set-up.

Emery has been doing a lot for the team helping them to occupy the 3rd place with 38 points in 17 matches played so far in the Premier League table.

EVERTON

Another team with a net positive conversion rate is Everton with 31 big chances created which they failed to convert.

The club were utterly fantastic when this season began but with ten points deducted, things are not going well for Everton.

MANCHESTER CITY

The current Champions are also on the list with 31 chances created.

Guardiola's men should probably try creating more chances if they want to hoist the league cup this season. It would help!
