Chimamanda Adichie celebrates 46th birthday
Popular Nigerian writer, Chimamanda Adichie is celebrating her 46th birthday. Chimamanda is a Nigerian author, writer, speaker who was born in Enugu state. She is a notable figure in Nigeria and is knomw for her literary works and books.
She is the author of the famous novel, Half of a Yellow Sun, Purple Hibiscus, Americanah and many others. She was born on the 15tg of September 1977 and has now celebrated her 46th birthday.
The writer studied medicine and pharmacy at the University of Nigeria and eventually switched to communication and political science after discovering her love and passion for writing. Her book, Purple Hibiscus which was published in 2003 won the Commonwealth Writers’ Prize for Best First Book (Africa).
Some of ther other notable works which have gained her much recognition include The Thing Around Your Neck, dear Ijaewale etc. She is also known for having delivered some TED Talks in the past.
