CNN fires host of 17 years, Don Lemon
The cable News network (CNN) has fired host, Don lemon after 17 yrs of service
The Cable News Network is a news channel in the US and it was founded in 1980.
They shared an announcement on Monday without much of an explanation. Don Lemon has worked for CNN for 17 years which is a very long time.
The network mentioned that they have severed ties. He said he will forever be a part of the CNN family even though the ties have now been cut.
They also thanked him him his contributions over the years
It was the Chief executive officer (CEO) Chris Licht who said this.
He went ahead to wish him well and said they would cheer him on in his future endeavors.
Don Lemon has also released a statement saying his agent told him on Monday that his appointment had been terminated at CNN.
He revealed that he was shocked that the management didn't tell him directly.
He said that he never got the indication that he would not be able to continue working there.
However the network replied to this saying his version of the story was inaccurate as he was given the opportunity to meet with the management.
