The Crew have won the trophy just twice previously, and they are aiming to win it for the 3rd time.

The hosts are currently in top form under the tutelage of head coach Wilfried Nancy this season.

Columbus has consistently played a high-octane brand of football this season which has helped the team explore the best from their ball-playing team.

LAFC has on the other hand gained massive success this season with their attacking trio, Dennis Bouanga, Carlos Vela, and Christian Olivera.

Steve Cherundolo’s side has maintained a standard attacking quality that ravaged most MLS Defenders and Goalkeepers during the season.

Columbus crew fought hard to get to the final spot of the MLS Cup final after a very difficult game against FC Cincinnati.

Wilfried Nancy's side at the start of the match were 2 goals down for nearly 75 minutes, but they clawed their way back to record a comeback 3-2 victory.

Columbus crew Gaffer commended the team for their resilience even in times when matches got tough.

Nancy said: “The resilience for me is really important the way we want to play because we’re going to take risks because going to try things, and if we don’t have this mindset, it’s going to be difficult. Tonight, we did it so really happy.”

The French tactician's performance in his first year with the Black and Gold is indeed a commendable one, as he has guided the team to the MLS Cup final.

LAFC defender and Italy legend, Giorgio Chiellini, is currently hoping to secure the trophy for the team.
