Cristiano Ronaldo starred as he came head-on with his former Real Madrid teammate Karim Benzema in a crunch Saudi Pro League clash between Al Nassr and Al Ittihad.
The Portuguese football superstar bagged a brace, scoring both goals from a spotkick as Al Nassr ran out with a convincing 5-2 win.
The game set the stage for a matchup between the former European football superstars, and one could not escape the rivalry. Karim Benzema provided the assist that saw Al Ittihad took the lead 14 minutes into the game.

In the 38th minute, Anderson Talisca fired Al Nassr into the lead, and the goal was enough to send the 2022/23 runners-up into the break with a lead.
In the second half, Al Ittihad looked as if they were ready to claw their way back into the game. Hamdallah scored in the 51st minute to cancel out Al Nassr's lead thanks to an assist by Colorado.
With Hamdallah's equaliser, the game was finely poised for an interesting finish as the two sides battled to retake the lead.

After Ronaldo's goal, Al Ittihad made promising attempts to find an equaliser again but were dealt a final blow late in the game when Sadio Mane scored two quickfire goals, seven minutes apart, to seal the win.
With an assist from Talisca, the former Liverpool forward scored Al Nassr's fourth goal in the 75th minute before striking again in the 82nd minute to make it 5-2.
Al Nassr ran out with a 5-2 win to pile up pressure on Al Ittihad, who have been struggling this season.
Al Nassr are still second on the table with 43 points after the win, 7 points adrift of title hopefuls Al Hilal.
