Crystal Palace have signed a promising young midfielder Adam Wharton from Blackburn Rovers. With interests milling around their frontman player Michael Olise, the Eagles are preparing to stock up their midfield with the likes of Wharton known for their creativity and attacking prowess.

The 2004-born talent attracted interests from top clubs in England following his outstanding campaign with Blackburn Rovers and was linked to a move to the English top tier.

Facing the prospects of losing Michael Olise, Crystal Palace doubled up on their chase of Wharton as a backup for Olise and have finally sealed a deal with Blackburn to sign the player, as per Fabrizio Romano.

Who is Adam Wharton?

Adam Wharton is an English professional footballer who played as a midfielder for Blackburn Rovers but has recently signed a contract to join Premier League side Crystal Palace.

Regarded as one the exciting and fast-rising English youngsters, Wharton attracted interests from top Premier League clubs following his remarkable outing with Blackburn Rovers in the Championship.

The 19-year-old is an English youth player and has won six caps with England U19 and two caps with U20.

Wharton started his career with Blackburn Rovers. It is still unclear when Wharton joined Blackburn Rovers academy but he gradually emerged into the spotlight in 2022 when he transitioned into the team's first team.

He has made 39 appearances for the club, scoring 4 goals. The youngster will be hoping to get off the mark as takes up a new bigger challenge to represent the Eagles in the English elite division.
