People's Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has commented on Tinubu's Chicago State University (CSU) saga saying, the truth will always overtake a lie.

Atiku commended Nigeria's investigative journalist David Hundeyin and the Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi for their contribution towards upholding the truth in Nigerian politics.

He also thanked the lawyers home and abroad who assisted in bringing the truth to light.

During his press conference in Abuja yesterday, he gave a speech paying tribute to the late human rights lawyer Gani Fawehinmi. He said he is at peace that his soul can now rest in peace after the big discovery of Tinubu's CSU certificate forgery.

"I wish to pay tribute to the late human rights activist Gani Fawehinmi who inspired us on this path of discovery. You can truly rest in peace in assurance that what you started 23 years ago has come to fruition."

Gani's vindication today, gives credence to the fact that no matter how fast a line runs, the truth will someday overtake it, Atiku said.

It was reported that President Tinubu's Chicago State University's certificate is a fake one and it was forged. He presented a fake certificate to INEC and by the power of the constitution, a candidate is automatically disqualified if he tenders a fake certificate.

Though the All Progressives Congress (APC) said Tinubu lost his CSU certificate but he got it back in 1979, the findings made verify that Tinubu has been using a fake profile all along and the Bola Tinubu who graduated from CSU isn't the Nigerian Bola Ahmed Tinubu but a woman from the US.
