The future of David Moyes as West Ham manager has been confirmed after an inconsistent Premier League run which was offset by a landmark campaign in the European third tier.

From battling relegation in the Premier League to ending West Ham's 43-year wait for a European crown, David Moyes turned from a villain to a hero.

Before a historic Conference League campaign with the London club, David Moyes' future at West Ham was far from certain.

West Ham were dragged into the relegation battle in the Premier League but it was a tale of contrasting fortunes at London Stadium.

While the club was battling for Premier League survival they were making inroads in Europa Conference League.

West Ham qualified for European Conference League quarterfinal still teetering on the edges of relegation.

The club were able to make a big step towards survival when they pummeled Bournemouth 4-0 away from home to steer themselves to safety as they opened a six point gap on the relegation zone.

However, the dropped back into the relegation battle with three consecutive Premier League defeats against Liverpool, Crystal Palace, and Manchester City.

On May 7, David Moyes secured a big victory over his former team Manchester United to seal West Ham survival hopes.

West Ham's twisted fortunes in the Premier League left David Moyes with an uncertain future at London Stadium. Reports emerged the club were considering parting ways with the former Manchester United and Everton manager.

Meanwhile, while battling to keep West Ham in the Premier League for next season, David Moyes was making an incredible progress on the European.

After the Premier League win over Manchester United which steered the club clear of relegation, West Ham went on to complete a Europa Conference League semifinal double over Dutch side AZ Alkmaar to reach the final.

Squaring up against Serie A side Fiorentina, David Moyes demolished West Ham's four decades of European Cup deadlock with a 2-1 win over Fiorentina.

After storied 2022/23 season with the Hammers, Daily Mail confirms West Ham hierachy have passed a vote of confidence on David Moyes and he will stay on as the club's manager next season.

David Moyes signed a multi-million pounds three-year contract as West Ham as manager in 2021 worth £5m every year. The 60-year-old Scot has a year remaining in his contract but was linked to the vacant job at Celtic in his homeland after Ange Postecoglou left the club and joined Tottenham.
