Nigerian singer David Adeleke popularly known as Davido finally reacts to his huge loss at the 2024 Grammys Award ceremony yesterday.
The 66th Grammy Awards ceremony which took place yesterday, February 4th, 2024 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California, USA, was graced by important personalities and celebrities around the globe. Nigerian artists including Davido, Burna Boy, Asake, Kcee, Fireboy DML, Burna Boy, and Ayra Starr among others attended the highly prestigious award ceremony yesterday.
Shockingly, all the nominated artists including Davido and Burna Boy who had the highest nominations didn't win any awards. Burna Boy had 4 nominations, Davido had 3 while Olamide, Asake, and Ayra Starr had 1.
Reacting to this, Davido took to his X page to congratulate South African artist Tyla for winning the Best African Music Performance category with her song "Water". Tyla won over Davido's "Unavailable", Olamide and Asake's "Amapiano", Burna Boy's "City Boy" and Ayra Starr's "Rush".
Davido wrote, "Congratulations on your win Tyla! Big One for Africa! Keep soaring!"
