Delta Police arrest 2 suspects behind the kidnap of a couple
Officers of the Delta State Police Command have arrested 2 suspects who kidnapped a couple in the state.
They confirmed that they have apprehended two kidnappers who had kidnapped Mr and Mrs Okutonye Efetobore in Delta
Mr Bright Edafe who is Police Public Relations Officer of the command was the one who disclosed this in a statement.
He said that they had kidnapped the couple on the 27th of april 2023. They had requested for a sum of N1 million naira as ransom before they released them.
Operatives of the command had gotten intelligence and had began operation which led to the arrest of the suspected gang leader who was Identified as Emmanuel James,
They were also able to arrest the driver of the gang known as Ejiro Peter.
These 2 confessed about their operations of kidnapping, armed robbers etc.
They are able to lead the officers to another memento of the gang who was able to escape but with gun wounds after opening fire as soon as he saw the police.
They raided his apartment and found some items. The police are still searching for him
