Don Jazzy reveals why he didn’t sign Wizkid and Davido

Popular Nigerian record executive Don Jazzy has revealed why he didn't sign Popular Nigerian musicians Davido and Wizkid to Mo’hits.

Don Jazzy is a music and record executive who is the founder and Chief executive officer (CEO) of Mavin Records.

He used to own another record label Mo'hits which is longer in function. The record label was owned by Don Jazzy and D'banj. D'banj was the first recording artist signed into it and was also the co-owner of the label.

The label has closed down as the duo went on to open their separate labels

Mavin Records has signed many popular Nigerian musicians like Rema, Ayra Starr and Johnny Drille.

Don Jazzy’s real name is Michael Collins Ajereh, but he goes by the name Don Jazzy.

He recently shared the reason he also didn't sign Davido and wizkid who are now major Afrobeats artists in Nigeria to his former record label Mo’hits.

He revealed that he didn't sign Wizkid because Banky W who is the boss of EME got to him before he could .

He also shared that the reason he didn't sign Davido was that he reasoned that Davudo would succeed without the help of a record label.

He also shared that he regrets not signing Nigerian singer Simi and also Teni the entertainer. He says he liked them but didn’t sign them.
