Popular Nigerian actress, Toke Makinwa has shared some words of advice for her listeners. She recently advised ladies to stop asking men for what they themselves cannot afford. She stated that it is wrong to ask your partner to buy them something that they cannot afford.
Toke Makinwa Is a 38 year old famous Nollywood actress, host and media personality. She was born on the 3rd of November 1984. She was speaking in the latest episode of her podcast, known as TokeMoments, when she revealed this. She usually invites guests to her podcast to discuss. She shared that ladies should stop asking for outrageous things and putting their partners under pressure. She revealed women like this, who ask for such things, are the ones who allow men insult women
In her words “As a woman, you’re living in Mushin, and you’re putting pressure on a guy to buy you a house in Banana Island. I’m sorry. Make it make sense. Can you buy it? Can you even move yourself out of where you are small? If he meets you maybe like halfway and you are saying to him that ‘Bros, I worked hard to get halfway but I’ve a dream. My dream is not to be here where you met. And I’m not lazy. For me to leave this point to get to that point, you can see the trait of hard work. Are you going to join me to move there or are you going to be there?’ Period.”
