Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw made a video on Instagram yesterday advising women to be their authentic selves and not allow society to box them and tell them how to live their lives.
She started by saying women who are over 40 that it is an honor to be aging and they should be proud of it. They should not allow society to dictate how they look, dress, or feel about themselves.
"I just want you to live fully and authentically as you can. Society is made up of people like you and I so live your life. Dance, sing, shout, do whatever makes you happy." She said
She continued by saying women shouldn't be ashamed of telling their age to people because everyone is getting older every day but if they feel like keeping it private, it's okay.
Most women often feel ashamed of their age due to societal pressure and what people will think about them and they often stop themselves from living life to the fullest.
She said, "Trust me, growing old is a good thing. Just enjoy it because there's not much time left. Just enjoy your life"
