Drunk hunter kills 14 year old girl In Lagos state
A tragic incident occured recently in Lagos state whereby a hunter who was drunk killed a teenage girl. This hunter had shot this 14 year old girl and she sadly passed away. This incident occurred on the 19th of September, 2023 and this was on a Tuesday.
This drunk hunter had been on a bike around Ayinla Akera area in Orile-Agege, Lagos State. It was in this area that the incident occured. The hunter shot at this young girl who had unfortunately been in the area. Some described the incident as misfortune as they believed the gun was misfired.
Some residents in the area had taken a video of the victim who had been lying surrounded by her own pool of blood. Some people originally assumed it had been a policemen who was behind it and had accused the police of killing killing innocent lady. They assumed it was the policemen from the Elere Police Station in the area.
The young girl was sent on an errand and never returned home. She had been on her way to carry out the eraand when her life was cut short abruptly.
The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Elere Station, who is Amodu Jimoh has reacted to this incident. He cleared the air saying it wasn't the policemen who carried out this act. He revaled that the officers had nothing to do with the incident.
He revealed that it had been the police who discovered what happened during apatrol when they kotuced a crowd gathered around something.
They went to investigate and sae that little girl had been shot. The people around then revaked that it had been a drunk person who shot at the small girl.
In his words "They saw the corpse on the ground. It was a 14-year-old girl. They asked for the person that shot her. They were told it was a hunter carrying a Dane gun. He was drunk. There is a woman selling alcoholic drinks beside the place. Maybe he was about to remove something and the gun fired. He came with a bike and it was likely an accidental discharge.”
He then shared that they have taken the victim's corpse to a nearby hospital. Further details will be revaled later as time goes on.
