Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun warns residents to beware of fake cash transfers organized by fraudsters to rip innocent Nigerians off their hard-earned money.

Gov. Abiodun has warned residents to ignore a scam message circulating online that the government is offering N10,000 worth of cash to each person across Ogun State. The scam message includes a link that people can click to enter their personal information, apply for this donation, and share it with others.

The Governor urged the people not to fall for such scams and clarified that there is no cash palliative for such.

"The Ogun State Government is not involved in any form of cash transfer program through the link provided in the scam message as https://taskcashup.com/get/OGUN-st-relief-funds/Apply/ogun-reg-portal.

The Ogun State Government under the leadership of Prince Dapo Abiodun remained committed to its avowed mission of making life better for the good people of the state during this trying period and beyond, but this will be done in a manner that will not endanger the people."
