The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) will be launching the Joint Platform for the Advancement of Cybersecurity in West Africa on Tuesday, September 12 in Abuja, Nigeria.

This initiative will be focusing on regional cyber diplomacy, critical infrastructure protection, cybercrime combat, and data sovereignty.

This event, organized in partnership with its partners, will serve as the formal launch of the ECOWAS Action Plan to build regional capacity and cybersecurity resilience.

On September 12, the event will be followed by a two-day workshop on Confidence Building Measures (CBM) for regional collaboration. The event will emphasize the need to establish CBMs as a strategy for strengthening regional cyber resilience.
