The issue began in October when Chef Dammy cried out about being bullied, intimidated, and threatened by the pastor and the church. The pastor then contacted his lawyers and demanded a retraction of the statement which he deemed to be defamatory. He also demanded for an apology as well as a sum of N22million for damages. She was given a few days to comply with this.
The DCR has now filed a lawsuit against him for infringement of Chef Dammy’s rights. They also demanded for a sum of N10million as damages. They have also filed for a restraining order against pastor Jeremiah to avoid her being re-arrested. The lawsuit the government filed is based on harassment, threat of arrest and intimidation.
