Ekiti Governor congratulates Tinubu on election as ECOWAS chairman.
The governor of Ekiti State, Governor Abiodun Oyebanji has congratulated the President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his recent election as the Chairman of ECOWAS.
Recall recently that President Tinubu was elected as the chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
He was in Guinea-Bissau recently to attend the ECOWAS summit and has now been elected into office of the chairman.
Abiodun Oyebanji who is the Ekiti governor was elected into office as governor last year, 2022. He succeeded the previous governor, Kayode Fayemi.
He was a former Secretary to the Ekiti State Government and a former Chief of Staff.
He released a statement which was signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Olayinka Oyebode.
In this statement he shared that election of President Tinubu into this office of the ECOWAS chairman reveals the level of confidence which the members have. These members are the leaders of the States in ECOWAS.
He mentioned that he doesn't believe this election is a coincidence. He says it's because President Tinubu has been consistent with expressing his commitment to Nigeria.
He shared that he has much confidence in President Tinubu’s ability to lead the West African region and member States into peace, economic prosperity, and democratic stability and also enhance trading among the member States.
He shared that Nigerians must support the President who is representing them all.
He then wished the President a successful and prosperous tenure.
