Chelsea Women Manager Emma Hayes will take charge of the United States Women's National Team after leaving the London team at the end of the season.

After her appointment as the new manager of the United States of America, she said, "This is a huge honor to be allowed to coach the most incredible team in world football history."

"The feelings and connection I have for this team and this country run deep. I’ve dreamed about coaching in the USA for a long time, so getting this opportunity is a dream come true."

The English manager, who won six Women's League titles and five Women's FA Cups, confirmed she wouldn't continue with Chelsea when the season comes to an end.

She will however remain Chelsea's manager until the end of the WSL on May 18, 2023, and the Women's Champions League final on May 25, 2023.

The USA are looking forward to working with the English manager, Hayes.

The national team failed to live up to expectations in the 2023 Women's FIFA World Cup, where they were eliminated in the Round of 16.

Since the resignation of Valtko Andonovski as manager, Twila Kilgore had been named interim manager of the United Nations.

Kilgore would continue to be the interim manager until the end of the season.

In addition, when Hayes takes over, Kilgore will remain with the team as the assistant manager.

Hayes is expected to be the highest-paid female manager when she joins the United States of America.

The English manager is not driven by the huge offer from the United States national team but by the desire to win more trophies at the national level.
