Popular Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe expressed her gratitude as her 22-year old daughter Michelle Gentry graduates from the university.
The actress, her husband Kazim Adeoti, friends and wellwishers traveled from Nigeria to Canada to attend her daughter Michelle Gentry's convocation ceremony at the University of Manitoba as she bags a degree in Aeronautics.
The 45-year old mother of two shared photos and videos on her Instagram page expressing her gratitude to God for sustaining her and letting her behold her daughter's convocation ceremony.
Mercy Aigbe recalled when her daughter was about to leave the country four years ago and how scared she was due to several stories of how young people bow to peer pressure and suddenly become different.
She spoke about how she struggled financially to see her daughter Michelle through school and how she once told her that she would have no choice but to come back to Nigeria to complete her university education due to her financial constraints.
Mercy Aigbe said she is super proud of her daughter and everything she has become. She also thanked her for upholding her values and morals and for always remembering the daughter of whom she is.
Michelle, in an emotional speech to her mom at her graduation party, expressed her utmost gratitude saying she is what she is today because of her mom.
"All the qualities you see in me, all my confidence is because of her. I'm standing here today owing it to her and God. Mommy I'm very grateful. God bless you. I can't say what I want to say because words just failed me. I don't know what I would have done if I came through another mom."
Michelle said she wouldn't have asked God for any other mother because she is the best. Mercy Aigbe who was also feeling emotional walked up to her for an embrace.
