Enugu Governor sympathizes with victims of Enugu auto crash
The Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Mbah has sympathized with the victims of the auto crash which occurred yesterday in Enugu State.
He expressed his sadness over this terrible crash which claimed 5 lives and left some others injured. Those injured were about 15 in number.
The accident occurred 9am yesterday, Tuesday at Ugwu Onyeama, near Enugu. This is along the Enugu-Onitsha expressway.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) have revealed that this accident claimed five lives. 15 others were also injured. The injured victims have been taken to the hospital.
The 5 people died on the spot. Out of the 5 who died, 4 were members of the same family. The family of 4 includes the father, mother, and two children. Only one of the children survived the crash.
Governor Mbah described the accident as “unfortunate and horrific”. He revealed that it was a black Tuesday for Enugu State.
It was a private car with this family, a bus traveling to Lagos and another bus who were involved in the crash.
The governor also commended the men of the FRSC and some others who assured the injured victims in the accident.
He shared that his heart goes out to the families and loved ones of the victims.
He then prayed for quick recovery of all the victims.
He also mentioned that the government will do all they can to assist those who have been hospitalised.
