The point deduction was obviously a deep blow to the Toffees' strong start to the season. Their first game against Manchester United after the points deduction ended in a nightmare with the Red Devils sailing to a comfortable 3-0 win.

The loss to Man United further deal a big blow to the Toffees' chances of survival as they were still stuck in the drop zone.

Now, it appears they have found their winning wand and have made it two wins in two matches after then.

Sean Dyche comfortably dispatched Nottingham Forest at City ground to boost Everton survival hopes after Man United loss.

Hosting Newcastle United at home was another tough test for Dyche but the English genius got the better of Eddie Howe with a statement Premier League victory.

The first half ended barren as both sides struggled to have the better of the other all to no avail.

They nearly drew blank in the second half as well before a late fiery response by Everton downed the Magpies.

Everton scored a triple of quick goals to sink Newcastle United and secure crucial three points.

McNeill opened the scoring for Newcastle United in the 79th minute. Six minutes after McNeill's opener, Doucoure doubled the lead for the home side.

To wrap up a big win for the Toffees, Beto scored a stoppage-time goal condemning Newcastle United to one of their biggest defeats this season.

With the 3-0 victory over the Magpies, Everton have now jumped out of the relegation zone for the first time since their 10-point deduction.

They are 17th on the table with 10 points from 15 games, a point off the drop zone.

Sean Dyche will hope to steer the team still on the winning lane when they host Chelsea in their next Premier League clash on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at Goodison Park.
