FAAN bans the use of 'Ghana must go bags' at all Nigerian airports
The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), has banned the use of 'Ghana must go' bags at Nigerian airports. In a recent development, they placed a ban on the use of ‘Ghana Must Go’ bags in all airports in Nigeria. Passengers are no longer allowed to make use of this bags when travelling. The Ghana must go bag is a common bag used by most Nigerians when travelling. It's a big colourful bag that can be used to carry lots of items.
This new development was disclosed in a statement which was released by FAAN recently. The titled of the release was ‘Re: Prohibition of Usage Of Ghana Must Go’. It was signed by the Manager of Airport Services who is Henok Gizachew. They revealed that this ban only applies to people who are travelling through the international airports in Nigeria. This doesn't apply to local airports.
They also revealed the reason for this new development. According to to it was because the use of these bags have caused a huge loss for these airlines. This is because the use of these bags over time have damaged the conveyor belt system at the airports.He then disclosed that anyone who still wants to make use of this ‘Ghana Must Go’ bag must package it well in a carton.
