The family of a 20-year-old lady identified as Anita Chiwendu, who worked at a KFC eatery in Festac, Lagos State, reported to the policemen after the management of the eatery refused to release the corpse of the deceased.

It was reported that the lady slumped around 11 pm while working a night shift as a waitress. A family source said Anita resumed work at KFC two months ago.

The eatery's management revealed that Anita was rushed to the hospital immediately after the incident occurred. Unfortunately, the first hospital refused to attend to them because they couldn't pay the deposit.

They had to rush her to a second hospital and Anita gave up the ghost in the process.

Apparently, the young lady could have been saved if KFC was able to pay the deposit demanded by the first hospital.

People are pissed from hearing the news because it was glaring that Anita wouldn't have lost her life if KFC had paid the up-front fee demanded by the first hospital.

As if that wasn't enough, KFC refused to disclose the whereabouts of Anita's corpse to her family members.
