Federal Government inaugurates NSCDC headquarters in Sokoto state

The Federal Government has inaugurated the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Sokoto State just recently.

They inaugurated the Permanent Administrative headquarters of the NSCDC for Sokoto command.

The Minister of Interior,Mr Rauf Aregbesola, was the one who inaugurated this headquarters. This happened just yesterday, Monday, May 22, 2023.

He was represented by Dr Shuaibu Belgore, who is the Permanent Secretary of the ministry of Interior.

He commended the transformation that has been seen in this agency over the past 2 years.

He appreciated the leadership of the NSCDC. He commended their determination to succeed.

He noted that the agency had shown how ready they were to impact the security of Nigeria in a positive way.

He also added how the corps was committed to developing their personal capacity so as to encourage better performance and produce better results.

He went on to assure them the the Government will continue to support them as they put in efforts to shape the security of the nation positively.

He also appreciated the Governor of Sokoto who is Gov. Aminu Tambuwal for the provision of a suitable environment for the corps to work effectively.

for providing an enabling environment for the corps to effectively deliver on its mandate in the state.

The NSCDC commandant general, Mr Ahmed Audi, mentioned that this was an achievement and testimony of their work on impacting the security of the nation.

He revealed this project is also being done in other states of Nigeria.

He revealed that the command has placed priorities on the welfare of their staff and improving their performance.
