FG declares Thursday 11th of April as Eid-l-Fitir holiday

FG has declared Thursday 11th of April as a public holiday to celebrate the Muslim's Eid-l-Fitr holiday. This came after the moon for a new month wasn't sighted and Ramadan was declared to be 30 days instead of 29. Recall that the FG had previously declared April 9th and 10th as holidays and now, Thursday has been added to celebrate the festive period.

In a new press release, the minister of interior announced the new changes to the members of the public. The press release reads, " The Federal Government has approved Thursday 11th April, 2024 as an additional public holiday to celebrate this year's Eid -El-Fitr. The Honourable Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji Ojo, while congratulating the Muslim Ummah for a successful completion of a month of spiritual rejuvenation, reiterates President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's (GCFR) firm commitment to providing a safe and prosperous Nigeria for all to thrive."
