FG Pays ASUU Half Salary For October

The news of the Federal government paying lectures half salaries has sparked so many comments online.

The Federal Government only paid lecturers of the Academic Staff Union of Universities for 18 working days in October.

The lecturers under ASUU have voiced out saying that the government only paid half salaries.

Recall that the 8 month ASUU strike which began in February, was only called off at the middle of October, 2022.

After the strike was called off, lecturers were encouraged to resume back to school and continue teaching and learning processes.

The members of the union are not happy with this development. They went back to school to teach without being paid, only for them to be paid half salary in October.

Some also expressed their anger by blaming the Body for calling off the strike without prior pay.
