FG shuts Abuja runway as Max Air crash lands, leaves other passengers stranded
Some passengers have been left stranded as the Federal Government shuts down Abuja Runway and flights are canceled.
Just recently Max Air which was conveying passengers to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja crash landed and the tires of the plane burst into flames.
Many passengers numbering thousands have now been stranded in airports across the country as the airport runway has been shut down.
This incident happened on Sunday after 2 tyres of the aircraft burst after it landed
Report says the aircraft was coming from Yola when the incident happened.
They passengers were quickly evacuated from the plane. The plane reportedly got stuck on the runway.
Due to this incident, they had to ground many flights both local and international.
Mac air released a statement on their Instagram page and they revealed that all the passengers disembarked safely.
They also said that they have taken all the steps necessary to make sure these passengers are comfortable.
They mentioned that they had 143 passengers on board and 1 infant. They were scheduled to land by 15:00 in Abuja but they experienced 2 tyre bursts as the landed.
They mentioned that the emergency response team quickly came to their aid.
The said that the tyres of the aircraft are being replaced and they would test it for further investigations before releasing to operate.
