Fire destroys Kwara Pharmaceutical company

A pharmaceutical company in kwara state recently had a fire incident which destroyed the properties of the company.
This company has been identified as the Peace Pharmaceutical Company.

This is one of the Major pharmaceutical companies in Ilorin Kwara State. This incident occurred yesterday afternoon, Tuesday, August 1, 2023.

It was the head of department of media and publicity of the Kwara state fire service, Hassan Adekunle who revealed this news.
He shared that this property is worth over N87.2 million. He shared that this property worth millions was lost in the fire.
They were able to save some part of the property also worth millions.

He revealed that the incident occurred around 11:55 am yesterday. This was at the company which is located opposite the National Hajj Commission. This is located along Ilorin West local government Secretariat, in Ilorin, Kwara state.

The cause of the fre has been revealed by the state Fire Service. They mentioned that the fire began while they were in the process of off-loading ethanol from an ethanol tanker to the ethanol reservoir of the company.
A spark emitted from the pumping machine which was what caused the fire outbreak.

The fire service was called and they responded immediately and began to combat the fire which was spreading rapidly.
They were able to prevent the fire from spreading to other parts of the company other than the parts already destroyed.

The Nigeria Police ‘D’ Division were also there at the scene of the incident to maintain order during the fire disaster.
So much substantial damage was incurred by the company has a lot of things were destroyed.

The Director of Kwara State Fire Service, Prince Falade John Olumuyiwa, has shared advice to the public saying they should ensure they have the appropriate fire safety measures and maintain them so as to avoid such incidences in the future.
