Fire destroys property worth millions in Ilorin
There was a fire outbreak in Ilorin recently which destroyed good worth millions of naira
It occurred on the eve of the Eid el-fitr in ilorin, Kwara state.
The fire reportedly destroyed property worth over N80m.
The incident happened in a popular market in Ilorin known as Oja-Tuntun Baboko market complex.
Mr Hassan Adekunle who is the Spokesman of the fire service in Kwara state said that the firefighters were able to control the fire preventing it from spreading further and destroying more shops and properties in the area.
The firefighters arrived on time and we're able to limit the damage.
Reports state that the fire was caused by one of the shop owners who was just careless.
Prince Falade John who is the director of the Kwara State Fire Service has advised people to be conscious of safety when cooking.
