Fire destroys Sopurum hotel in Onitsha
Fire has destroyed an hotel named Sopurum Hotel, in Onitsha recently.
The hotel is located in Nkwelle community in Onitsha, Anambra State.
A huge part of the building has been destroyed completely by the fire as seen in the above picture. The fire reportedly began by 4:30 am this morning, Monday.
Some fire service men were at the scene to combat the fire.
The Anambra State Fire Chief who is Martins Agbili, was unreachable when the tried to contact him.
It was the spokesperson of the Anambra State police, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, who confirmed the incident.
He says everything is now under control and the fire has been put out.
He said they were informed and immediately the men of the fire service was dispatched the the location and put out the fire.
He revealed that no life was lost and they managed the situation.
