Flood in Ondo State leads to death of newly married man.
A newly married man who has been identified as Mr Glory JATO has drowned in a flood which happened in Ondo state recently.
This man is a Federal government worker, who just got married recently.
The man was carried away in the flood that happened in Oba Ile, in Akure North council area.
He had been coming from work on Friday when he got swept away by the flood.
Pastor Gbenga Ojuloge who is the Assistant Secretary of the Landlords Association of Bethel Estate in Oba Ile revealed how sad the death of this man was. He mentioned that the government needs to intervene in this matter so as to prevent further occurrences.
He says there is a need to dredge the water out. He revealed how unsafe it is for the residents of the area.
He also revealed that the community has made efforts to ensure that the flood was minimized but it didn't work out.
He pleaded with the Federal Government, State Government and the local government to intervene.
One of the landlords in the area also revealed that anytime it rains, the water cuts off access to the estate.
He says they have been suffering for years now but haven't gotten a solution.
Many other residents in the area also expressed sadness over the incident which happened to this man.
